HRBP (HR Business Partner)
The managers' HR partner: team performance, complex individual situations, organization and intelligent application of labor law.
Why this hire matters.
Your managers are your first HR lever — and most have never been trained to handle an underperformer, a conflict or a reorganization. The HRBP is their field partner: handling individual situations before they become litigation (a mishandled dismissal is expensive at the labor tribunal, a mismanaged conflict costs a team), running performance cycles so they produce more than checked boxes, and legally securing sensitive decisions. In France, the labor-law dimension is not optional: it's complex terrain where improvisation gets punished. The good HRBP holds the role's balance — business partner AND guardian of the framework — without tipping into complacency or bureaucracy. Test on real cases: underperformance, conflict, termination.
